Please join us on Sunday!
Adult & Child Classes @ 9:00am
Worship Service @ 10:20am
Join us on Sunday as we journey through the Bible. On Sunday, August 19, Pastor Jim Odens' message was entitled The Interceding Spirit from Romans 8:26-27. On Sunday, August 26, Pastor Jim will give a message entitled All Things Work Together for Good from Romans 8:28-30. You can listen to past messages on the Resources: Sermons page of this web site.
The 9:00 a.m. hour on Sundays from July 1 through September 2 will again focus our attention and our prayers on the lives and ministries of our missionaries. Plan now to attend these important times of getting to know the heart of God for missions, getting to know our missionaries and praying for ourselves and our missionaries in connection with taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, tongues and tribes. During these Sundays there will be no Promise Kingdom classes, and the nursery will not be staffed for the 9:00 a.m. hour.
Beginning Sunday, September 9, the Auditorium Class meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays will be looking into God’s design for marriage. This discussion will be led by Pastor Jim and focus on both God’s design and the roles of spouses who are serious about living in keeping with His design. Whether you are currently married, may be married someday, or have opportunity to talk about the Lord’s design to someone who is or will be married, you will benefit from this discussion. Plan on joining us for this important step in strengthening the marriages and the homes of Oakridge Community Church.
The children in the Promise Kingdom program will also resume their 9:00 a.m. classes on September 9.
A 6-hour Membership Matters class for anyone interested in learning more about Oakridge and those wanting to become members of this church body will be held in the Fireside Room on Friday, October 26, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 27, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. The class will be led by the Elders. Sign up at the table in the foyer if you plan to attend, so we are sure to prepare enough booklets for the class.
