Welcome to American Heritage Girls Troop MN0323
This page is designed for families that may be interested in learning about American Heritage Girls and about our Troop, which is chartered by Oakridge Community Church.
American Heritage Girls (AHG) is the premier national character development organization for young women (ages 5-18) that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement. The AHG Mission is: "Building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country."
The AHG Program Emphases create a well-rounded experience for girls:
- Faith
- Leadership
- Social & Emotional
- Outdoors
- Citizenship
- Life Skills
Girls have the opportunity to earn a vast assortment of badges with age-appropriate activities. There are countless opportunities for girls to grow their leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Registration
Yearly registration for AHG National is $40. Registration for National will be completed online. The troop will invite the parent to register online through AHG Family. Please email: troopmn0323@gmail.com if you would like to register or have any questions.
Troop Dues
Our Troop dues are $45 a child Tenderheart and up. This fee covers the basic expenses of your daughter’s involvement in American Heritage Girls such as: unit leader supplies, activity and craft supplies, individual squad service projects, general office supplies, includes 2 merit badges for your daughter (add'l badges are $3.5/each), includes 2 activity patches for your daughter (add'l badges vary between $1 and $3.50), includes 1 service star for your daughter (add'l service stars are $1.00/each). You can pay your National Dues ($40 a daughter**) on AHGfamily.org and complete the National registration process there. Troop Dues are paid by check at the first meeting.
Our Troop dues for Pathfinders is $30 (since they don’t earn service stars or badges at that age - however, they do earn patches).
**Please note that there is a “Sister Cap,” which is a maximum fee ($105) set in place for families registering for National Dues.
Here is a worksheet to help break down dues by level.
