Fall IsraelThis week we found out what happens when God's people turn away from Him and put their trust in the world for deliverance (Lesson #67). We read the account from 2 Kings 17 of Hoshea, King of Israel, turning to Egypt for help, instead of calling out to God. As a result of their continued lack of faith and idolatry, Israel was defeated by Assyria. We learned that judgment comes to those who refuse God's loving warnings.

How is the Bible memory going? Parents, are you working with your children each week? Are you able to join them in memorizing? Feel free to share ideas for memorizing that work in your home. Besides the DG App, we have found that printing out the passage and taping it up in the bathroom has worked well! Share your idea in the comments.

This week's passage is Psalm 100:1-3. Remember, if your children are younger they can do fewer verses. Just don't underestimate what they can do!

Grace to you!

Pastor Jonathan
