JerichoThis morning we learned about the fall of Jericho (lesson #44) and the trust that the Israelites had in God to obey his command to march around the city seven times and then shout and blow rams' horns. That must have sounded crazy! The people obeyed and God destroyed the city, sparing Rahab and her family. The author of Hebrews points us to the faith these Israelites had in God as a way to spur on our trust and look to Jesus as the Perfector of our faith.

Our memory verse this week is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7:

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (ESV)

A note about check-in. You may have noticed we have a touchscreen now so that parents can print off nametags for their own children. We will usually have someone there to help you, but now if you are running behind and there is no one available at the table, you can go ahead and check them in yourself. If you have any questions or would be willing to help at the check-in desk, please let me know!

Have a grace-filled week, looking to Jesus!
