good king bad kingHopefully your kids came home Sunday singing, "Nothing Better Than Jesus!" We are currently learning actions to that song, so if you're wondering where they're getting those strange moves...now you know.

This week we learned the truth that God's plan is bigger than our sin. We looked at the lives of King Hezekiah, who brought so much reform to Jerusalem, and his son, Manasseh, and grandson, Amon, who does not follow the Lord and undoes all of the reforms that were made under Hezekaiah.

As hard as it is for us to understand, God's plan to rescue His people included both Hezekiah, as well as Amon. In fact, Amon’s son Josiah becomes the best king in the entire history of the divided kingdom.

Ask your children how the Passover that King Hezekiah called the people to celebrate pointed forward to Jesus.

I leave for Liberia on Thursday, which means I won't be posting here for a couple of weeks. You can get updates on my trip here.

As I shared with the kids, my prayer is that, as a result of the equipping of these pastors in Liberia, more and more people from that country will be able to join us in singing, "There is nothing better than Jesus!" Nothing!

See you in a couple weeks, Lord willing!
