“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving! And I pray that it was truly an opportunity to share your gratitude to God with the ones you love. But I also pray that we wouldn't wait for next year to consider God's faithfulness in our lives and express our gratefulness. God's will, according to 1 Thess. 5:18, couldn't be more clear. Give thanks in ALL circumstances! That's how much we have to be thankful for. Let's foster among ourselves a mindset of thankfulness by meditating on the supremacy of Christ, the glories of the cross, and by demonstrating gratefulness to one another as well!

This week in Promise Kingdom we will be learning the lesson of the four soils, which Jesus taught in Matthew 13 (Lesson #18). The gospel is the seed that was sown, but not all who hear it believe. We need to help our children with the question, "What kind of soil am I"?

The Schlicht's are teaching the children a Christmas medly of songs that they will sing for the congregation on Sunday, December 21 during the first part of the service. We hope all of our kids can participate.

50% off YNAB

Since I mentioned this budgeting software a couple weeks ago, I thought I would pass along this deal I just found out about. It's 50% off a physical gift card, that you could then use to buy the program - thus making it half off. If you know of someone else who could use it, and it's nearing Christmas anyway, go ahead and buy two! I'm not employed by YNAB - honest! I just think it's that helpful. Act now, because the offer is only good through Monday, December 1.

See you Sunday!
