Our lesson this week (Lesson #40) revolves around the account of Thomas, doubting the reality of Jesus' resurrection until he could see and touch Him. In His kindness, Jesus granted Thomas' wish, letting him touch his nail-scarred hands and wounded side.

Ever wish you could see and touch Jesus like Thomas? Ever have doubts? We all go through our "Thomas" moments, probably more than we'd like to admit. So where do we go to have our doubts cast away? To Jesus, as the Spirit is gracious to reveal Him on the living pages of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It is there we see Him, really see Him, through eyes of faith!

Jesus had us in mind when he responded to Thomas, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) O God, open our eyes and the eyes of our children to see You, really see You with hearts of faith. May it be said to them:

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,” (1 Peter 1:8)

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms! Thank you for all the unseen sacrifices you make on behalf of your family on a daily basis. Remember, not one diaper changed, or dish washed, or shirt cleaned, done in faith, is ever in vain!

See you Sunday!
